Privacy policy

We are Hope and Joy, and we raise puppies at home in northern Indiana. This is a small family website. We collect only what you send us, we use it only to talk to you about a puppy, and we do not sell it to anyone.

What we collect

Only what you type into a form, or tell us when you call, text or email.

  • Inquiry form: your name, email, phone number and your message.
  • Waitlist form: your name, email, phone number, which puppies you are hoping for, and roughly when.
  • Application: the above, plus which puppy you are interested in, who is at home including whether there are children and their ages, any other pets, the kind of home the puppy would live in, whether you have raised a puppy before, and whether you can collect in person.

The application asks more than the other two because it comes before a deposit and we want to answer you properly. None of it is required to talk to us: if you would rather not put any of it in a form, call or text (574) 377-8023 instead.

What we do not do

  • No advertising. This site carries no ad trackers and no advertising pixels, and we do not run ads that follow you around the internet.
  • We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not send marketing you did not ask for.
  • We do not run credit or background checks on you.

Counting visits

We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read, so we know whether the site is doing its job. It tells us things like which puppy pages are most looked at, roughly what part of the country a visit came from, and whether someone arrived from a search or a link. It does not tell us who you are, and we never try to work that out.

Google Analytics sets its own cookies in your browser to recognise a repeat visit. If you would rather not be counted, your browser’s settings can block cookies for this site, or Google publishes a browser add-on that turns Analytics off everywhere. Nothing on this site stops working either way.

One thing your browser stores by itself

When you send an application, your browser remembers it for the rest of that visit so the deposit buttons appear without you filling the form in again. It is not a cookie, it holds nothing about you, and it disappears when you close the tab.

Who else handles it

  • Our form provider receives each submission and keeps a copy, which is how a message reaches us even if an email goes astray.
  • Our website host serves the pages and, like any web host, records technical details such as IP addresses in its own logs.
  • Google receives the visit counts described above, through Google Analytics. It is listed here too so this section is the whole list.
  • Email: messages to info@blessyourpawspuppies.com are forwarded to a personal inbox that only we read.
  • Payments: when online deposits go live, card details are handled by Stripe on Stripe’s own pages. Card numbers never touch this website and we never see them.

Children

This site is meant for adults buying a puppy, and the application asks you to confirm you are 18 or older. We ask whether there are children in your home, and their ages, because it tells us which puppy suits you. That is information a parent gives us about their own family. We do not knowingly collect anything directly from children.

How long we keep it

Inquiries and waitlist entries we keep while they are useful, and we clear them out once a litter is placed and you have told us you are no longer looking. If you buy a puppy, we keep the paperwork for that sale, including the signed agreement and health guarantee, because it is a record of a real transaction and we may need it years later.

Your choices

Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call or text (574) 377-8023, or email info@blessyourpawspuppies.com, and we will do it. We will keep only what a completed sale requires us to keep.
