Bless Your Paws Puppies

About us

Two sisters, one standard

Hope and Joy, the twin sisters behind Bless Your Paws Puppies

We are Hope and Joy, twin sisters raising puppies in our northern Indiana home. Every litter is raised the same way: in the house, around our nieces and nephews, in the middle of everything.

We grew up in a big family with dogs always underfoot, and that is where the love for them started. Our puppies grow up the same way. By the time a puppy leaves us it has heard the doorbell and a houseful of nieces, nephews and cousins, and it has been held every single day.

We are Christians, and everything we do here we hope brings glory to God. If you have never heard the good news about Jesus, we would love for you to watch this short film.

Why we do it this way

A Munchkin Bernedoodle puppy in the grass

A puppy's first eight weeks decide a lot about the dog they become. That is why ours are never raised apart from the household. The first weeks include early neurological stimulation, and after that it is steady desensitising: new sounds, new textures, new smells. The point is to build confidence, not to startle it out of them.

They grow up in the room where we groom, so the blow dryer is an ordinary noise to them. The vacuum runs. There is usually music on. They have hard floors under their feet and time out on the deck, and grass comes a little later.

Before you decide, we would love for you to meet the puppies and their mom, Troy, who lives here with us. Visits are by appointment, and video calls work well for families further away.

Come and meet them
